Seat base match up

Post by Luckychap »

Hi folks my 62 crossover has seats that seem uncommon the stitching pattern is the same as the duotone but it's not duotone material it's all red vinyl. I need a drivers seat base cover as mine has been replaced with a later one. Does anyone know where I could find one. Here's a pic. Cheers

The duotone trim was only used on the "deluxe" versions in that period. Your car is the standard or basic model and has the correct trim for the car. It is fairly uncommon now, having been used for only a fairly short period. Newton Commercial will make you one - but ask for a sample as their trim isn't always a perfect match - otherwise you just have to be in the right place at the right time. Good secondhand drivers seat covers from 50/60 year old cars are not easy to find unfortunately. Good luck :)
