Myself and Big Phil will be there as usual.

His Morgan may be in the garage to be replaced on the event with a frog-eye and I may have classic ford (or even worse) but we will be there. :D

Only 6 months to go and anything can happen.......

Blimey was that right!!!!! So far the MG show is still on but who knows where we will be in August....

Anyway, this years car is sourced and it is a ford although not what I set out to look for. I was taken by it so have bought it.

Only 15,000 miles, its a gem. Only non standard thing is the radio because the old couple who bought it and owned it for the last 27 years couldn't abide the modern one it came with in 1993  Sadly they lost it subsequently but ill get a replacement.

Massive history and every bit of paperwork from the original bill of sale and finance agreement in 1993 to the MOT this week. How do I find em..... months of searching..

Hope to see you at Pateley

Well done. They were a good drive those old Fiestas :) Rust (their biggest enemy) has killed a lot of them now, which is a shame.

Keep safe and well everybody. We can wait another year for a car show can't we.

Cheers, Fords generally are bad for rust. Not as bad as Mercedes but bad. This is a real find, heated garage stored , only driven in sunny weather. 550 miles a year......

I don't sense a great deal of enthusiasm here for this years event but if the MG show is on, ill be there

I don't think historically there are many posts about the Gathering until we are much nearer the time Al, at the moment I think people are more concerned with current issues than events the may or may not take place later on in the year. I hope that the Gathering in August is far enough into the future that it will take place, but it is something that we will just have to wait and see how things play out.

If it takes place I will be there as long as the virus doesn't kill me beforehand.

A long way off yet, not even got the countdown clock ready! As it stands the MG guys have not cancelled the event.

Like a few rallies, timing will be everything. If venues insist on advanced deposits with just a 50/50 chance of it going ahead I guess it will be at that stage a decision will be made. I'm involved in a couple of other events in the same boat at the moment.

The MMO are lucky, we don't need to pay until arrival so not a major issue except the uncertainty of it all, which at this point is minor...
