1098cc super charger

Postby gyp » Wed May 08, 2019 6:18 pm

Hi All,

Need some ideas, finally going to start building a bit of a minor sleeper, have looked into super charging kits so my idea is to use a 1098cc with sw5-07 cam with a jan speed/cooper head as trying to keep the compression right for the super charger to work. My reasoning for the 1098cc is the cost/availability and I have 3 sat ready along with the cylinder head, the cranks are good for 6000rpm hence the sw5 cam. I've built a few engines for mini's, last 2 mini's being Honda v tec engines, so thought I would try going back to an A series with a super charger to be a bit different.I could pocket the block and fit a 12g940 head but can do that at a later date once I test the charger.

Anyone tried this route before and know the pit falls?

Send 2fry a pm, he's done it quite a few years ago and should be able to advise.
