Noise rear end when going over bump

Postby Entitytattoo » Sun Apr 21, 2019 5:22 pm

Hi can any one shed ny light onto a noise coming from rear end of my moggy saloon.
It sounds like a metalic sound like exhaust catching the floor but ive been underneath nd the ehuast is well clear. Its not on every bump but more severe pot holes bumps etc. Nothing in boot to make noise and fuel tank secure many thanks

Possibly worn shackle bushes on the springs, of could even be either the shock absorbers or bushes in the drop links attaching them to the chassis leg

A damper or shock absorber is the same thing really. BMC referred to them as "shock absorbers" in the original manufacturers parts book. That's good enough for me anyway ;)
