It has been that way since i bought it (2weeks ago) dont know for how long before that.. I do however have a spare alternator just dont know The state of it, but replacement is a pretty straight forward job? So i think i Will try one of The days☺️
The engine does not require a lot of adjustment when loosening The fan belt right?

it's a straight forward job to change the alternator. Disconnect the battery, pull the electrical connector out of the back of the alternator, take out the three bolts holding the alternator and remove. Also check the fan belt, it's a good time to replace it if it's looking worn.

There was probably a reason why a spare was included ;)

Changed the alternator, and now the light goes on, then goes off, and gives a nice output of just 14v :)

Well done :D
I've just had the same problem with my Commer camper, what a horrible job it is to do on that vehicle, took most of the day as it's buried in a very inaccessible place in the engine bay  I did have to do a couple of alterations to the replacement one though but like you the ignition light goes out and a good charge voltage :)
