Traveller panel fitting advice

Would I be correct in thinking that the pair of outer rear quarter panels are fitted with screws from the inside going into the wood. If so I will remove them in order to get them painted.

Screws or nails can't remember, but they are also sealed with a mastic type compound called Dumdum so it could be a bit of a job getting them off. Probably need a flat blade to ease them off.
