Radiator neck repair

Postby cococola » Tue Jul 24, 2018 7:44 pm

My radiator overflow neck is loose where it connects into the radiator filler neck and looses water. Just wonder if anybody can recommend an easy way of repairing it myself as I dont really want to have to replace the radiator.
many thanks
Alan

Alan
You can do it in-situ , lower the water level and gently heat all round with a blow lamp , after a short time the neck will pull off...inspect to see if it's serviceable or needs repair.
Clean both parts ( I use stainless wool ) apply flux to both parts , re-fit and apply heat and a little solder , it's not too difficult.

These sell both the necks and caps , as a pair or individually...

Good Luck.
