Hello from Sunny Perthshire

If you are new to the board or have never made a post before, don't just lurk around, post in here and introduce yourself and your Minor if you have one. It would be great to hear from you.

Hello from Sunny Perthshire

Postby Jimmy 167 » Wed Jul 11, 2018 12:51 pm

Hello,my name is Jimmy I live in the village of Stanley 6 miles north of Perth .I have returned to Morris Minor ownership after a gap of 15 years .
I sold my 1970 Traveller in 2003 and it went to Austria . I have now bought a 1970 Traveller in Old English White .
I collected her from Bexhill on Sea and drove 600 miles overnight to bring her home .
The drive was good ,the brakes were bad ,she is now in a workshop in Brechin to be fitted with Discs and Servo .
I look forward to meeting other Morris Minor owners , they are great wee cars with loads of character .
Best Regards
Jimmy

Congratulations on your purchase. That is a LONG way to drive a "new" Minor!! I've never managed more than 400 in one day in mine and I thought I had done pretty well :? Minor brakes should be fine if they're working properly - I think a lot of Minors simply aren't well enough maintained and many aren't used enough to keep everything working as it should.
