Hello from Scotland!

If you are new to the board or have never made a post before, don't just lurk around, post in here and introduce yourself and your Minor if you have one. It would be great to hear from you.

Hello from Scotland!

Postby Stoo » Thu Jun 14, 2018 12:16 pm

Hi,

Just thought I would introduce myself- I have been lurking for a bit!
This is my first moggie and needs a bit of TLC- the pic is flattering! I'new to restoring cars but not a total noob as have done a couple of bikes before. I currently have no brakes as 5 of the 6 cylinders were seized which made an interesting test drive.... I snapped the seat frame because I was pushing so hard on the pedal..lol more work to do. I've nearly finished replacing them so will hopefully get it up and running soon.

Cheers

Stoo

Hi Stoo.

Welcome!

Sounds as if you have a lot to do, but that's half the fun.

Do let us know how it's going.

Hello from the sunny South of England and congratulations on choosing the best affordable classic car you can buy!
Many will say that the brakes are one of the Minor's weaknesses. However, once in good condition I have always found them perfectly OK.
I have broken a seat from as well once  . At least the seat can be dismantled easily and welded up.

Good luck with your project. Parts are readily available and inexpensive for the Minor which is a great advantage.

Thanks Chaps- I have been pleasantly surprised by the cost of parts so far- although the deliveries have not gone unnoticed by the other half!
