I found this beastie in my dining room this morning. I believe it is a female Roesel's bush-cricket.

FYI the image was taken after I invited it into the back garden. ;)

You didn't make the cricket sing for some breakfast first before escorting it outside?!

:D Lovely photos as usual - I seem to have missed your stunning bee shot.

I haven't added any new images here lately but I still post a new photo every day on Blipfoto, 1346 days in a row so far.

I have just done a short guide on Street Photography for my photographic society which uses some of my images if you want to look.

best seen in full screen and just scroll the page upwards.

I seem to be moving into a more artistic phase with my photography. This is one I took at Lullingstone Castle.

In fact it is about 9 images merged into one.

The castle and The World Garden ( https://www.lullingstonecastle.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) have been using my images for their website, Facebook and advertising for the past year. Publications include Kent Life and the RHS 'The Garden' and I'll have one in next season's RHS member's handbook.

Elsewhere I have become chairman for the Orpington Photographic Society and busy with competitions. If you're off to Pateley Bridge next week expect a camera to be close by...

I haven't added any photos recently but needless to say I still take snaps every day. Here's one I did a while back I think you'll like. The title is "Partners in crime" and proves you can't believe everything you see in photographs...

Lockdown entertainment. I made this picnic table yesterday to teach critters some table manners. The squirrel started to use the seat but forgot himself whilst the robin needs to leave some grub for the others ...

:D What a lovely idea to provide a picnic table for your garden friends! Great photos as always - how far away are you when you take them?

Thanks Plin.

Both were taken from my decking some 50' away. I placed the table on top of an arbour halfway down the garden but with a raised deck I'm nearly level with it.

The first shot I took was of the robin. My camera was on a tripod and I was cooking my breakfast. I used a wifi link to press the camera when I saw the robin feeding. The later shot of the squirrel was handheld but from the same place. Both images have been cropped by less than 50%. The lens on my camera is equivalent to a 420mm lens (in 35mm terms).
