Just been for a drive to really test the sound deadening I just put in under the front & rear seats, trans tunnel, behind rear panels & bulkhead. What a difference - so much quieter than before & can enjoy stereo and/or the V8 - nice choice.

Mabel sailed through her MOT this morning :D
Everything got thoroughly checked prior to it though, given that it's a beautiful North East day again - chucking it down with rain, so lights, wipers, heater - all on!
Drive it Day a distant memory already - glad I took some photos to prove the sun does come out up here 8)

Might as well add in my recent pics of Mabel at all the various events, locations and venues she's got to this year, to freshen up this post & so I can reflect on 2015 being her most travelled to date. :D

Diff pinion oil seal removed & new one in - no leaks on the run home either :D
Have decided to modify exhaust system - Mick, you did query the side exhaust noise previously & they were damn annoying when putting car up on mates ramp - 4 cup type, plus out the back allows better flow etc.
Local performance garage are going to do same next week. Will post pics - maybe even videos to compare before & after

Conscious my 81 year old mother (whom my Morris is named after) had never been in her namesake & what with her health not getting any better & such a mild Christmas Day in Aberdeen, couldn't think of a better way to pick her up & to spend Christmas with all her close family.
Both Mabel's loved the outing!
Hope everyone in the MMO family had as lovely a day as we had.
Back to usual pouring rain today though - hey ho! - No more ho ho ho's!

Excellent :D
No Morrising for us as every one converged on our house and a very festive time was had by all. Dinner was followed by penguin racing (posh Christmas crackers) :)

Finished work on time last night, then up early to take Mabel to my local Mot garage for annual test. As I parked up and applied handbrake - big "ping" noise & no handbrake
Obviously, due to modified nature of Mabel, Jaguar IRS & brakes, not a simple, go to local parts supplier for a new one, oh no. Trawling internet and phoning a number of companies didn't come up trumps either. £50 & we'll make one for you sir!!!
Luckily, along with the grateful assistance of two mates, cleaned up inner cable, brazed on a nut on the end, split open the collet that the cable had come through in the first place, refitted cable with nut, squeezed collet up tight, reconnected everything back up (sounds easy when typing, but not so when lying under & in car & only one pair of hands at that time) a few pulls, adjustments and applications in my rear lane on a slope, to ensure sorted - happy boy :D

Phoned Mot garage back, can't fit me in till next Friday :?
So same scenario next week as I started this tale - fingers crossed, finish lateshift on time, then up early to get Mabel to garage and onto ramp 1st.
I might make this her chosen form of transport:

p.s. the first picture is not my rear lane! - it's Gleneagles Hotel - was nearby in April this year & got a quick few pics!
2nd pic is how Mabel & I got home from said trip, thanks to a knackered windscreen wiper motor & weather changed dramatically to snow, albeit picture doesn't reflect the mega change of weather.
Joys of motoring!

First show this year & phew, it was scorching.....well for us Northerners 8)
Picture doesn't really reflect that it was a well turned out event, taken late in afternoon, when quite a few vehicles had left.
