Very nicely done. :D Doesn't the side exit exhaust get noisy?

:D Welcome to posting Jingle! Certainly looks a beautiful Minor you've been keeping out of the forum lime-lights up until now! Hope you are successful with sourcing the rear light base you ask about in your other posting.

Hi and welcome
You will need to get it round the shows
Be good to see it on a club stand
do what you like and like what you do ...

And life is to short to drive boring cars.

Thanks and yes....I keep meaning to get posting and also meet up - have only really managed a few local-ish get togethers - the joys of shift work, living so far north and a car that has been rather jinxed to say the least!

Pete (Plastic Orange) knows me (and Mabel) my Morris pretty well. Hopefully 2015 will be the year for getting out and about a bit more - now that the engine is (fingers crossed) sorted, 5 speed box & larger capacity petrol fitted, so longer journeys will be far better.

Side exhausts noisy ? - who needs a stereo when there's a V8 rumbling away

Ha Ha Pete, yes I know, finally decided to give all this posting messages etc a go, rather than just being a watcher.

Have been looking at the various events and dates and what may fit in with my shifts - there may well be a few opportunities for me and the other women in my life to get away for a few weekends!

Cheers,

Jim

That's a new metal grille front attached and welded up to wings. Far better than the fibreglass one I had originally, that just kept flexing and cracking when driving and opening & closing bonnet.
Compare photos at start of post to the ones below.
I'm very happy with result, so that's all that's matters then!

Excellent choice of grille.

Very nicely extended wings. Bottom edge flows nicely into the front panel, fair bit of work to get that looking so good well done.

Thanks very much. I cannot take the credit for the work. The guy on the left (with his arms folded) in the 2nd picture, is the metalwork master. He cut sections from a VW Beetle roof, folded edges over, then welded same to below bottom of each wing, to give the "almost looks standard" appearance to the front. He welded up the bumper mount holes too, to smooth front off a bit more - although we did think about leaving them and fitting in a modern set of led running lights, but that idea was soon binned.
