Added fuel stabiliser to the tank for the winter lay up and warmed engine to operating temp to run it through. This stuff keeps fuel good for up to 3 years and is particularly beneficial to cars with carbs. I do this every year to cars and bikes and it seems to work. Briggs and Stratten make it.

Since using it, the usual spluttering and poor running after a winter lay up with Muj has stopped. it just fires up and goes. Less of a problem with fuel injection cars, but very worth while with carbs.
