Oooh you meanie Woody!

Though actually I often go shopping at unearthly hours - if you don't mind all the stacking trollies in the aisles and not everything in stock I can recommend it!  Some  lovely helpful staff willing to chat (or have an honest moan!) as well as some more interesting members of the public of course but thankfully there is usually some Police presence as they pop in for their sandwiches!!

PO hope you've sorted your Christmas shopping so you can get back on track with your work on the car?!

Picked up a pair of lovely black leather Rover 45 seats (as you do :D ). Looks like I'll have to reduce the trans hump at centre crossmember area to drop the height a bit though.
Hopefully back on with welding next week.

Well, got some work done today. Reinforced the rear spring hanger area as i wasn't too happy about the strength of the new panel. I was also shocked to find that the spacer wasn't even welded in place. I then attached the bump stop plate, then fitted the spring back to the axle with poly bushes, new U bolts etc.
Next job is to tackle the inner wing, then it's cleaning up welds and priming/rustproofing, then a respray.

Some more work done:

I reinforced the area around shackle pin. The spacer wasn't even welded in place on this panel - is now. If I hadn't whacked it I'd never have realised.

Had to slice bottom corner off to get inner wing fitted

Then weld it back on

Looks not too bad
