Thanks for posting that.

Its an interesting mod and depending on the size could possibly be used on the standard Minor A series.

Is the mounting flush underneath so it mounts without putting a big hole in the top of the chassis leg?

Sean.
Well spotted. The mount is flat underneath so I have just sat it on the chassis rail. However the underneath has a rubber bellows and this appears to inflate as you load up the mount. I don't think it will touch the chassis with just the weight of the engine, but it will with higher loads. That's why the vw has that big hole in the bracket. Mine will probably be a bit stiffer with the rubber not able to inflate.

I reckon a 10mm spacer would give enough clearance.

I had more trouble with the speed sensor. The bracket was a bit flimsy and it was allowing the sensor to move and touch the trigger wheel. The sensor eventually got mashed up enough to stop working, messing up my MPG figures. I made a new bracket from some stout angle iron.

It's a bit overkill but at least it's solid. I also changed to a camshaft sensor because it's a more convenient shape.

In other news, someone in the local car club offered me a picnic basket for free. I believe every Minor should have one.
