Yet to fit and test but in theory.....should increase the hot water flow and the air flow...

Will let you know..

I tried the computer fan route, but it wasn't adequate. Possibly just the one I used though, but it seemed a good idea at the time. I went for a T7 design heater which does the job.

Yes, the fan was advertised as 0.45A but on the meter one read 0.33 and the other 0.27 A , will have a go and if it's no better will try and source a more powerful fan or overhaul the smiths motor add re-install..

That's the beauty if it..not too modified to be reversed...

Had a little time over the festive season so started the work on the remote central locking...

Living in the rainy city ( Manchester) , SWMBO doesn't find it funny waiting in the rain while I let myself into the Moggie and open her door... :?

Boot lock, seems OK , yes I do realise I can't drop the boot shut with the central locking operated..

UNLOCKED

Does anyone have any good sectioned/rusty A-B pillar photos? I need to feed the door wires through them to the hinge plates?

Thanks
John ;)

Dear All.

Well,it was as cold as a witches tit out there today , but can report back that the "modified" heater held up well to/from Huddersfield Autojumble , the screen was clear from start to finish and with my elbow out of the window , apart from going over the top near Windy hill ,,,,,,, (The M62 has the honour of being the highest motorway. At 1,221 feet (372 metres), the section of the motorway at Junction 22 is the highest point of the UK's motorway network. The section is located at Windy Hill close to Saddleworth Moor.) ,,,,,, and I was as toasty as a toasty-thing. ;)

The computer fan was binned as inadequate, the Smiths motor overhauled , Bissell easy-vac screen tubes fitted to slightly opened screen vents and an extra 12volt water pump , in-line , controlled by the heater rheostsat , not forgetting the "interior-off " flap fitted to the heater grill.

Dear All
Had a little time on the central locking and have managed to get the wiring to the passenger door...and renewed the hinge pin at the same time , no more drop in the door....

Looks like one wire but there are five in total ( only using two ) ......and I have a cunning plan for the locking mechanism..

... and here is the cunning plan for the locking mechanism , following Colin Chapmans advice , keep it simple....

Unlocked , allowing the rod free movement...

Locked.

Should be able to do all four the same/similar...

I seem to be missing the reason why the drivers door cannot be locked from the inside ?

Anyone?

Research has decided that the drivers door shouldn't lock from the inside to save locking the keys in the car...

So , after shopping , set to getting the wiring to the L/H passenger door...

Central locking fitted and working...just minor ( I hope ) fettling needed on the drivers door handle mechanism .
Now the cold/damp weather is upon us, have taken the opportunity to re-do the dash....going more digital.

Being an old bugger with failing eyesight ( and everthing else ) the small rev counter was a waste of space , as was the old engine temperature gauge , maybe the digital ones will be easier to check...
