You’re exactly right Dunk, I do have a Quaife ATB.
Was informed by Quaife they could modify my Diff to 18 Spline.
So I went and brought 18 Spline half shafts from another source give its over £300 cheaper than Quaife and kit is just as strong.
Sent Diff off to modified about a week later and then was contacted to say they’d made a mistake and it could only be modified to 16 or 22 Spline. So while not impossible to correct it’s just an outlay I could do without.
While I also accept we can all make mistakes it’s the attitude that’s come back with little responsibility or willingness to offers solution. “Ah well, while we’re sorry we mis-informed you, the problem is yours!”

So, while not essential at this moment in time I may just put the current ATB in with the new CWP ratio’s as it’s this I’m more interested in to see how new power plant and ratios feel.

As for 3J Diff, think I’d agree with your comments as I’ve heard from others about 3J diffs, not so complementary.!

Gripper would be my preferred choice when/if I get there.

Big week for Engine Dyno though, so much to look forward to.

That’s real bad from quaife ,it’s hard to believe they of all people would get something so wrong, you would think they would know there products better, I wonder if they thought they could use parts from the Salisbury diff,as they do them 18 spline, but I know they are a bigger unit
What ratio you going for,mines a 3:89

Started out with a 3.89 but changed two years ago to a 4.1.
Looking to change to a 4.4 given the Pick Up has the aerodynamics similar to a brick and therefore it’s not about top end but acceleration and as I’m NA I need to keep the engine in its ideal rev range and not drop to much between gears.
Also start line launch is quite important.

Going back to Quaife, I found there info a little “Wanting” when I purchased my QBE60G Gearbox from them.
If someone offered the right money I’d gladly sell it if only to remove anything Quaife from the Pick Up.!

I’m sooooo disappointed I’m missing out on having this Pick Up on the Goodwood Circuit this weekend.! :|
Still, things can only get better and hopefully won’t be too long now.
