I bought a refurbished rocker cover end of last year and checked the wee screws then. Anyway picking up a another cylinder head and piston today so it'll be rebuild soon. Might even do some head work on this one :)

I meant I should check these screws too.

Perfect time to mess with the head, what's the plans?

What a place to use a self tapper, I wonder how many other engines have been wrecked because of them. Is it holding a splash guard of some kind? the other side of the cover doesn't seem to have one so can it be removed?

And then brought the engine home another challenge was get the engine out of the car and into the morris without a hoist? Good old Scottish brute force and a strong cup o tea lol :)
