Embellishing the truth in adverts
Re: Embellishing the truth in adverts
A new one on ebay "Very Original - Original Split Screen" - So not replaced with a curved one? That said I've seen one's that appear to have been converted the other way.
Re: Embellishing the truth in adverts
All original - not modified in any way seems to mean it's had a full set of later type wings when applied to a SII

£3000 for a basket case with a bent shell? Roof damaged, shell so twisted the door and bonnet won't shut. Good parts car though...

Re: Embellishing the truth in adverts
It's the usual "the registration number is worth £2000"
Forgetting that you can only transfer the registration number (assuming anybody actually wants to buy it!) once the car has gained an MOT. Which will cost even more
The car is a rusted out wreck which will never be a viable restoration project unfortunately

Re: Embellishing the truth in adverts
Yes the ‘number plate valued at £2000’ postings seem to be on the increase...but it’s the ‘What’s this worth’ and ‘For Sale PM me’ posts which really annoy me
and I’m not even looking to buy

Here's another classic I have just read.
"paintwork and interior both good, may require minimal small cosmetic welding in places."

Also the advert contains the cop out phrase:
"does need a little attention easy job for somebody".
