Postby Kyle » Fri Apr 20, 2018 6:52 pm

Hi all and thank you for the add.
My name is kyle, I am 19 years old and love moggies. I have a 1971 traveller, me and my dad fitted new wood around 5 years ago. But I have just had a re spray on it, not original colour but I like it.
Heres a few pictures.

Thanks for the welcome, I like classic cars for the shapes. Modern cars are all very much similar shaped. I love classic American cars and the moggy has some similar styling. My dad has had and rebuilt several of these in the past, so most jobs should be doable at home too. We fitted a recon engine, recon gearbox, and new clutch kit last year, 3 months later the release bearing shattered, and the gearbox had to come out again. Upgrades besides the paint are electronic ignition, an alternator, and clear lights on the back with led bulbs.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. We are still working on the moggy, under the bonnet is next to do when finances allow. I didn't realise the reg was from North Yorkshire, when my dad bought it he fetched it from Derby, Wood work was rough though. He made all the inner wood himself from white oak, the outer wood was purchased and is Ash as the original was. The dash came out better than we hoped though, really pops. Hope to see some of you at some shows this year, when work allows.
