Hi Eben

Welcome to the site.

Can't help you at the moment but do you have a photo of your car? We like to see what is still out there especially something as few and far between a 1953 Morris 1000.

With a few photos we might be able to identify what you have. An engine bay photo would be useful.

Hello Eben.

Welcome.
I am considered an authoritative expert on this particular model.
My first Mog was a late 53 black 2 door, so I not only know the subtle differences between the models a couple of years around that, but gathered a lot of knowledge of the later years.

Please supply me full details on any good photos and no doubt will be able to help in your quest.

Engine bay -including engine number-front-full rear view-interior- dash-a close up of the speedo showing the mileage and speedo numbers and control box area. the area around where the commission plate was originally  fixed so we can see where the screw holes were and ( this will give me an idea of the type of original plates.

Finally a good quality focused picture of the firewall area between the fuel pump and the scuttle panel where the wiper boxes are, this will be of great assistance.

Welcome again and I hope to hear from you soon.
Cliff
