Was Real ale for me too, but stopped drinking over two years ago as am Diabetic. In my time I was a life member of CAMRA, the admin officer of Perfect Pint Ltd and a Real Ale fanatic. Have collected quite a few pump clips, which are now for sale including around 60 from the Titanic Brewery. I had a record of over 15,000 different real ales I have had and was in the top ten for amount of different beers drunk

Stout all the way.

Thankfully there are some exceptional ones about now. I'd rather a real Ale than Guinness though as I find it far too commercialised and too thin compared to others out there like Black Cab or Titanic Stout.

Ale for me although I'm a bit of a lightweight preferring the paler ales as opposed to stout.
Guinness when I visit my family in Ireland and the occasional Gin and Tonic when relaxing in the sun.
