Small world!!

We're in Baldock so Old Warden is just up the road and we had many lovely trips to Shuttleworth and the Swiss Garden when our children were younger.

We lived in the village of Northill. The only thing we miss are the old aircraft flying around. If we hadn't moved I was volunteering to work on maintaining the aircraft......starider :)

We are fortunate that we quite often have interesting aircraft buzzing over from Shuttleworth or Duxford. Shame you didn't get to stay up here and help maintain the Shuttleworth Collection but sounds like you would be too busy anyway!!

Hi,
Seems Edwin has had enough of his travels, he's returning to the UK next month "to start earning some real money". So I need to get his DAF 33 Pick-up out of my neighbours barn, get it on the lift for a service and MOT. I'm hoping in return he'll help get the Moggie Van re-sprayed!!!.......................................starider :)

Hi, Yes made a start, at least it started and runs reasonably well after 18months. Getting it up on the lift next week to check underside and belts, then it's a brake check and adjust, spray the underside with oil and then "do" the necessary paint and bodywork. Hopefully then an MOT. Will post a picture when finished..........Starider

Hi, Edwin [plus help from me], got the Daf through the MOT Test and has been using it for several weeks and pleasingly has found his own workshop in Holsworthy. The DAF is now undercover and is about to have the bodywork sorted before being back on the road as daily transport. He is beginning to set up a mobile motorcycle maintenance course where he hopes to book a residential venue for a long weekend and teach groups on hands-on motor bike maintenance, with course members working on complete machines[i.e. machine for each course member], sounds good and should give each member a very good practical knowledge. He has done a lot of research within the biking fraternity with very positive feedback!! ;) .............................starider

:D Great news that the DAF passed the MOT and is being cared for a little bit. I wish Edwin well in his venture, nothing like hands on learning to help cement skills in the memory. Who will do the catering?!
