Tom Plumb vans

Post by 200272 »

Hi I thought I’d try and do some updates on the vans (soon to be three)

Lukes van is back for some maintenance, he’s away for a few days so I’ll be sorting.

•leaking core plug.
•leaking side covers.
•leaking gearbox rear seal and lower plate thingy.
•Stuck choke and tune the idle.
•Exhaust Leak and make rubber hanger.

Lukes van has a rebuilt engine, gearbox and rear axle.

My Van was hit twice in two days, once in the front (some impatient fool) then in the back (on their phone)
As the van is getting on abit now I was happy with £300 from each party, one cash and the other from the insurance.

I have knocked the back out as the brake wires were chopped, it showed up more rust I need to fix....

The front is a little more work...

A few weekends ago we did a disc brake upgrade on Lukes van.
The kit was from ESM, we fitted a remote resivoir and sorted the master cylinder.
It did not take to long, 8 hours in total.

It’s a bloody good kit and the brakes are so much nicer!!!!

Cor time has flown by, I need to pull my finger out on the new van.

We did a little maintenance on the fleet  today before the storm hit.

I'm going to book a week off soon and make a big push to get the third one on the road proper.

Haha thanks

Looks like we have to do the gearbox again, it jams in 1st and pops out of 2nd.
