One off rubber manufacture

Post by wavodavo »

Hello
I'm not to sure if this is the area for this question but I would like some help if possible. It is not for a Minor but for it's bigger brother the Morris Six MS. I'm restoring the oldest known in the world and want to look as original as possible. I need to know if there is any manufacturer that can produce one off parts? I need some door seal remanufacturing as the very early cars are different - possible the same as MM? And some front bump stops too. None of these are remade and non existent in NOS. Any help would be great.
Dave

Here's as good a place as any.

Welcome to the forum. Any chance of sharing a photo or two of your car?

With luck someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

Happy posting :thumbright:

I have never seen one and about 3 mths ago there were two on Trade me. I was counting my shekels and was just about to use the buy now option at $1500 or so and it was taken off the site as it had been sold. (the other was too dear and in the south island) Oh damn. Looks like an Oxford with a long snout. Enough room in the back to have a genuine kiwi piss up on a friday night or even create a new line of ancestry for some deserving child.

Three morries, none going.

There is somewhere that does all sorts of trim but name escapes me could be Lancaster trim but not sure.
Will try and do some digging and find out. :-)

Have a look through this website from New Zealand (I have a feeling PO may know the guy). Some of the rubber trim you're looking for may be the same as that used in Oxfords etc. Here's a link to one of his trims that shows Morris 6 listed although he doesn't show them listed in his drop down box when searching. Worth checking through all the rubber trim he has. May be worth an email.

There was so many ads i exited off the site.
Sorry, but i feel that is screwed up to send anyone to rodsnsods for that reason.
