Convertible hood with damp inside

Postby cococola » Sun Dec 02, 2018 4:41 pm

After leaving my convertible on the drive for the last 4 days unused I have gone to it today and there are lots of water drips on the seats, looking up the roof had alot of water drips that have proved the sorce of the damp.
Normally I put the car in the garage and even with rain I havent experienced this problem.
The outside of the roof is a vynal material with the inside cloth so I wonder if there is a way of treating this problem and if anybody else experiences the same problem. :( :(

Further update with all of the rain lately the roof doesnt actually leak but appears to be condensation with all of the damp air.
If I leave the windows down slightly I have no water so I guess I have to live with it unless there is some sort of spray that is used with tents...further investigation needed?

Try one of those water absorbing packs, they usually consist of a container with a layer of moisture absorbing crystals in them. I usually put a couple in my camper once the cover is on over winter, you'd be surprised how much the collect.
