The MMO 6th National Gathering **discussion thread**

Just like it says, meets and events
The vast minority wrote:The vast minority Friday/Saturday with Minor this year, maybe on a trailer. Not built a racer this year, not had time so ill be a spectator

Wobbly Woody Friday/Saturday with Reliant Regal if he can get it going! otherwise modern and a caravan / no racer

If you all want to get a PMR radio they are cheap as chips and will be very useful on the Saturday

Don't forget there are prizes to be had and crowns to be lost..!

Right folks we've maybe just one polish away from our 6th National Gathering at Pateley Bridge and it would be useful to know who is attending and for how long. Although it is possible to turn up on the day I find it useful to have an idea of numbers so that enough camping and display area is put aside for us.

I have started a list below. Can you let me know your intentions and I'll add you to the list.

Also mention if you will be bringing a Rocker Cover Racer.

You can bring last year's model, more the merrier. Lots of hard work has gone into making the track much better!

Many thanks. ;)

Big Al ..............Fri/Sat/Sun + Racer + spare*
MickEssex........Fri/Sat (bringing last year's racer as spare. Mick will be running the event so will not take part)

trog34.............Fri/Sat/Sun

* My 2nd placed racer from last year will be available to anyone who hasn't had chance to build one this year. It can only be used by one member. Cross my hand with silver or put my tent up, fees are flexible. There is no rule that says past racers cannot be used again.

If you are saying it is attached to an engine that is attached to a car then yes that is against the rules. But if it has that mini engine (disconnected) being used as weight then fine. just as long as it stays within the hight, width, length etc. I think you'll kick yourself if you don't join in once you see the improvements done by Mick.

Chuckle, Nice work there Al, I note even Ragnor is portrayed.
My trailer is single axle though so if Mick breaks down he is gunna have to call the recovery guys ;-)

Unless there is "minor" addition to the fleet of course ................

The Kettlewell scarecrow festival is on at the time of our visit so if the facts on the event website are to be trusted, we can all park easily in the big field on the Saturday if we decide to do the usual run. parking £3 per car for all day

For anyone not aware, we normally go for a drive on the Saturday which has in the past taken us through Appletreewick, Grassington, Kilnsey and on to Kettlewell where there are a few pubs for a spot of luncheon.

If a change is fancied there is always Malham (see pic of Malham cove) a few miles further up a very challenging (for some) twisty road but the run to Kettlewell seems about right for most.

If anyone is unsure and wants local info to do their own thing, ask me or wobbly woody on the day.
