Tatton Park

We'll be there this weekend but not in Ted, but in force with the Commer crew. So if anyone fancies coming to the biggest classic car show in the Northwest of England then drop in and say hello, kettle is always on and a lot more to see than just a bunch of old vans :D

Thought you might like a few pics of the show, didn't get about much - to busy schmoozing :) We got 2nd place in the club stand section and one of our number got 2nd place in the judges favourite category - not bad for a bunch of old vans at a show called Passion for Power :D

First two are mine

:D Panky we spied a Commer van very similar to you own beige one today as we drove home from North Wales, think we saw it around Shrewsbury area.

:D also saw lots of classic cars whilst up there, all being driven. Fords and then MGs on the Sunday (sadly the day became very wet though) and then various models and old tractors on Wednesday as we were coming back from the Bala Lake Railway :D (Of course we were not in our van so couldn't enjoy waving!) Did see one Minor Pick Up in Llanrwst that we have seen before, slightly modified and with an animal carrier back.

(Sorry no photos though as I was driving!)

Good spot :D The yellow and white coach built lives in Baldock, not sure how far away from you that is, so you may see that one around sometime. I've not seen a Commer on the road for years - unless it was one we were travelling with

:D so excited - I have at last spotted the yellow and white Commer van you mentioned residing near us! It only lives down the road from my boss and she knows the owner. (I thought I spied two of these lovely beauties on the drive, but was whizzing past so may have been mistaken).

Hope your own vans are behaving and enjoyed a few outings this summer?

Nice spot :D That will be Colin and Helen (owners not vans) The yellow and white one is the Commer Tourstar - the other one up the drive is a mega rare Austin J2 Hadrian conversion, Colin's retirement project 8)
Next outing for us is a bonfire night weekend over in Yorkshire, I'll be packing me thermals :D

Hi - do you know the colour for the hearing aid beige one? We have a Renault here that is 'Grey Beige' RAL1019 and it looks very similar....

Sorry no I don't. They were supplied as a chassis cab in primer and the converter painted them in there own colours. It's not a Rootes colour but a previous owner reckoned it was a Ford shade.
