I came across this website about soundproofing. It seems pretty comprehensive and certainly gives the reader a better idea of how to go about it. I'm not advocating this supplier, but he seems to know what he's talking about, and possibly dispels the myths about folk using flashbanding once and for all:

There is a lot of information on there, he also seems quite open about all the information.
Must have taken a long time to get to where he is.
