Soft springs rear seat

Post by Gerard1234 »

Hi all

Unfortunately there is no one living in the neighborhood to compare but I find the springs in the rear seat of the car a little bit soft .
Is this normal for the Morris or is there a way to get the springs a little bit stiffer
To give an example
The only passenger on the rear seat is my dog and she bounce with every pothole in the road

I think it depends on how it has been used. I don't think they were particularly soft when new.

You can wedge foam in.

I cant remember now if there are two screws below the front edge of the set or if it just pulls straight up.

But its fairly light to lift out and look at.

Sean.

They were soft when new. I recall my sister complaining when sitting in the middle rear when Dad went over a bump lol

They are a lot better now
I took the rear seat with springs out of each other
And put about 3 cm of foam rubber on top and put the springs below the foam rubber
De seat is a lot better now
