MGF wheels what is involved?

Postby hillymole » Tue Oct 03, 2017 5:46 pm

ThInking about putting 15" MGF Alloys on my Traveller which has Marina rear axle and front hubs & discs so Current stud PCD is ok at 4no @ 3.75" /95.25mm.
Are any serious mods required to panel work or suspension? or will they go straight on.
Believe studs need changing ? What to & where from ?
Do MG wheels have to be centre hub located, believe the MGF wheels have a 56.6 bore. Could be the shoulder on the marina axle will locate ok?
Any thoughts on tyre size to go with them.
Expect many have traveled this learning curve so any advice what be much appreciated

They should bolt straight on...watch your tyre size as well.
Also get the proper mgf wheel nuts...

Graeme. many thanks, My Moggy looks very similar to yours, Fully restored with new woodwork and sprayed Moggy Maroon B.
Was thinking about going for the Mgf Minilite spokes but reckon your gold square spokes look the business. What do you do for a spare wheel? Wondered if the MGF steel space saver wheel might fit in the proper place.
Assume you have MARINA hubs ? what did you do about the studs for your MGF wheels.
regards

The mgf spare is too big to fit in the boot...i redrillled a moggy wheel to fit.
I used ford studs for my marina hubs....or get mgf ones.

I bought new studs from Midland Wheel Supplies and they also supplied wheel nuts. I can't remember the size but they kept me right and everything fitted fine. I use a MGF steel wheel as my spare.
