hi all
I'm looking into fitting a mgb rear axle
after installing (1275 midget engine and box)
would like to keep the original look ie steel wheels
can anyone advise on the idea of re-pcding the rear hubs of the axle to keep the 4" pcd for the minor wheels?
as i have a disc conversion on the front which suits the minor wheels(esm kit)
cheers

Re: mgb axle
I've done it on mine , ford half shafts/drums , in the shed and am pleased with the results.

Re: mgb axle
Do you mean Ford (Escort/Capri?) half-shafts & drums fitted to a Minor axle, or an MGB one?

Re: mgb axle
MGB axle with Austin Cambridge rims. Won't be able to tell them apart from Minor rims. Even takes the same hubcaps. 4.5 inch PCD so fit the MGB.
Re: mgb axle
How strong are MGB axles? Do the V8 versions have better axles?

Re: mgb axle
The V8 axle is the same as the normal MGB one apart from the diff ratio. The normal MGB axle will cope with a standard Rover V, so will cope with most 4-cylinder engines unless they're turbo'd.
