Larger capacity fuel tank ( Saloon )

Post by Sleeper »

Am I dreaming, or did I recently see a post about a larger capacity fuel tank that allows the spare to be fitted in the usual place... ( apart from mine...)

Have searched for 20 minutes plus..

Thanks
John ;-)

Thanks Don

The down side is that you have to re-locate the spare wheel....

Thanks

Oooops

That link doesn't show the model that I intended. You are correct that the link is to a tank that requires relocation of the spare tyre.

Here is some information from a recent ESM newletter about the new one that does NOT require relocation of the spare:

Just a thought.

That looks like it hangs lower underneath.

It may be worth checking with them if you have or are thinking of using a tow bar with a brace under the tank.

If you get one please post how it goes.

Sean.

I think this is the one I enquired about recently , it has a larger capacity BUT is for the early ? model with smaller capacity , therefore not giving me any extra capacity...

Hi John

I think this info from an earlier ESM newsletter makes the matter clearer. I think the new tank offers what you are looking for--bigger capacity than series 3 and 5 capacity yet room to store the spare.

Now that sounds promising....didn't notice it on recent newsletters..

John ;-)

Edit
The wording , early split screen tanks , makes me wonder about its capacity??
