Screw needed - no, not a smutty joke

Postby johnjc8 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 6:00 pm

Hi everyone. Poor running on my newly purchased Minor (1968 Saloon) led me to replace the points and condenser. Found that the locating screw that pins one end of the condenser to the base of the distributor was bust, and now need a new one. Bearing in mind I'm a newbie to this classic car mechanical stuff, how do I locate a replacement screw without having to buy a new distributor? New condensers don't appear to come with a new locating screw :-( Are they a standard size? If so, what size? Thanks in anticipation.
