Hello
Apologies as Im sure this has been asked before.
I have a 1275 Ital engine (is this an A+?) and plan to upgrade to electronic ignition.
Is the better option to upgrade to a new dizzy, with a new coil I assume or use one of the upgrade lumenation/accuspark type systems?
Many thanks folks

Upgrade points dizzy or replace?
Re: Upgrade points dizzy or replace?
If you swap the whole distributor you can keep your other one with the points ready gapped.
I bought a whole distributor, but not fitted it yet.
If the spindle is worn then converting it still means you have an electronic one with play in it.
Sean.

Re: Upgrade points dizzy or replace?
Hi,
I fitted a Stealth Electronic ignition Distributor with Advance adjust replaces Lucas 25D. From Ebay.
Replaced a 50 year old distributor, which would have several worn parts affecting ignition timing. Also fitted an uprated coil.
Car starts instantly.
Cheers,
Peter
