Mechanical fuel pump

Postby FMuscle » Wed Jun 07, 2017 10:37 am

I want to switch mine to mechanical since the electric one failed before I moved. I had nothing but problems with that pump... Now that I'm settled, it's time to get it running again.

I couldn't find anything about my specific engine, so I have to ask.

I found one, described as this, does it fit my 948? And do I need the spacer?:

As far as I'm aware, all small-bore versions of the A-Series engine (so 848, 948, 998, etc.) used the same block, so should have the same mounting for a mechanical pump. All the camshafts should also have correct lobes to drive a mechanical pump. Someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.
