Only just picked up on this sad news. I first met Cliff 9 years ago when he came to my home with his son to pick up a moggie related item. A lovely friendly guy with a heart of gold.
RIP Cliff

I never met Cliff in person, but I can only agree with all the previous posts ... he was a stalwart of this forum, always very friendly and helpful and encouraging, and will indeed be sorely missed by all. Condolences to all his family and close friends.

I've received the details of Cliff's funeral folks.
Tuesday 4th June, 11.30 AM, St. Mary's church, Tadcaster.

I won't be able to make it unfortunately, but I understand that some MMO members will be going, which is excellent. All welcome to the funeral.

I thought in memory of Cliff to share this. For those who didn't know he was a gifted watercolour artist and this is an example of his work.
He did it from memory and photos on this site of the front drive of the house I lived in at the time.

A Cliff Lloyd Original, given to me by Cliff when he was up at mine
for one of the gatherings... just so happens that I have a spot recently
vacated by a watercolour done of the vision I had for my convertible.
It was only fair that It went with the car..
So it’s off to the framers tomorrow, and I’ll hang this in my living room,
Proud to have met a true gent who put so much into everything he did..

Such a lovely service to honour one of life’s gents,
some very funny and moving memoirs of a life lived to the max...

400 mile round trip from Glasgow to Tadcaster to show my respects
for a man who did so much for this forum, amongst other things,
without Cliff approaching Harrogate MG OWNERS CLUB
Pateley Bridge wouldn’t be happening....

Did I miss anyone else from the forum at the service,
or was I the only one in attendance... :( :(

Farewell my friend.... rest easy....the sea awaits you...

Thank you for your post and fitting photo Mogimad. What a trek for you to attend the service but I am glad the forum was represented by yourself as Cliff was indeed one of our forum stalwarts and is sorely missed.

Thank you Derick for taking the time to go down.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it, but it is heartwarming to know that someone from our community has attended.

Thanks again.

Thanks Derek for attending and sharing this wonderful image. I missed two funerals of friends that week due to being at a family member's graveside in Flanders at the same time.

I'm sure we will all raise a glass to Cliff at Pateley.
