Re: Glasgow Area

Yeah, I’m sure they’re a nice bunch (Minor owners invariably are) but you’d think so…

Thanks. Despite the weather yesterday was a a good meet, with nine or so owners, and some of their partners/family that attended. Hopefully next month it’s not so wet though! :o

Re: Glasgow Area

I think you may be trying to re invent the wheel as there already is a thriving Minor club in your area, plus even more all make classic clubs. PO I asked about joining it, and to be sent newsletters etc. Was told I could pay at the next meeting. Received not so much as a single newsletter in over ...

Re: Glasgow Area

Just to update the account has changed to @glasgowmoggies (some questionable google results apparently came up from people searching for Glasgow Minors  )

Link: https://www.instagram.com/glasgowmoggies

We’ve also set up a web page: https://www.morrisman.com/glasgow-morris-minors

Re: Glasgow Area

Hi John Thanks for the link, I'm sure locals will be interested.. FYI the MMO is not a club nor part of the MMOC although some forum members may be. The 'club' has their own forum to discuss club matters and this might be of interest to them. Thanks Al. I’ll head over to their forum to post the link.

Re: Glasgow Area

I’ve set up an Instagram for Minor enthusiasts in the wider Glasgow/West Central Scotland area, @Glasgowminors ...with a view to some informal coffee meets and short runs, in addition to other formal club stuff. This is not to take anything away from any other club related activity, it’s just there ...

Re: Glasgow Area

Thanks for the invite. Appreciate it. Unfortunately it falls on a back shift for me, so I won’t be able to come. Hopefully another time though.

Re: Glasgow Area

Well, I’ve contacted the nearest MMOC branch (Scotland). We shall see if there’s much/any interest. I’m waiting on word back.

Re: Dashboard dials

Thank you custard. That was so simple, just like you said. Done. Sometimes I just can’t see the wood for the trees!

Now just to decide where to mount them :D

(They are from a mini).

Re: Has the Facebook site killed this forum?

Totally agree with Cococola, and Panky, on FB. Hate it and refuse to use it. It’s full of keyboard warriors and people at each other’s throats. The forums are a fantastic wealth of information from like-minded enthusiasts. Without the forums I wouldn’t even have found my current Minor. I cant stand ...

Dashboard dials

In the process of adding a couple of extra gauges. They fit nicely into the mounting bracket, which I’ve sprayed smoke grey (same colour as car). Photo attached (though has since been given additional coat to tidy up). I’m not sure how to secure the instruments to the bracket though. They’re Smiths ...

Re: Glasgow Area

Further to above, my plan is for a Glasgow-Inveraray Castle run on 5th June. I’ve spoken to the castle and they’re happy to let us park our Moggies in front of the castle instead of the main public car park. (The only other vehicles permitted in front of the castle are for disabled parking). The cas...

Glasgow Area

Just wondering if there is anyone else in the general Glasgow area interested in informal meets/runs once COVID rules permit? There are already three of us in this area interested, and already in contact with one another, but I know there are at least one or two other Moggy owners in the area. Anyon...
