Re: Sleepers Zetec Sleeper

I suggest to you that y...

Re: Sleepers Zetec Sleeper

Have tried a vacuum bleeder and removed a lot of "bubbles" but still soft pedal ( which I am assuming is air in the system ) , so the next plan ( B ) is to rig up a new Aldi garden sprayer to a spare master cylinder cap and try pressure bleeding ( while the remote resevoir is clamped ) lots of fluid...

Re: Sleepers Zetec Sleeper

I found the standard moggie a git to bleed , adding ABS and the extra pipework has multiplied the problem and there is still air in the system , so the next course is to open any high connectors and raise the remote resevoir level and see if any air comes out.. Have invested in a vacuum bleeder , wh...

Re: Sleepers Zetec Sleeper

It's OK thanks , I had a look at a Sierra set-up but the master cylinder was an integral part , this is similar to the set-up I had in my Plus2 many years ago...just thought the self-contained,smaller-size,less-weight Ford item would suit...

Already going at the rear sensors..

Re: Sleepers Zetec Sleeper

Three weeks and a lot of head-scratching , have found out that the compact Ford Focus ABS pump need to "talk" to the main ECU to work...so have had to change plans , remove the active ABS sensors and replace with off the shelf inductive sensors and fettle the mountings to suit . 2020_0715abs0002.JPG...

Re: Changing to Redline MT90 fully synthetic

Was just asking as when I fitted a 5-speed to the Lotus Elan , people were suggesting the Redline MT90 to help with the notchy gearchange and I remember that at the time it was expensive... but sad to say it made no difference at all ( apart from lightening my wallet ) . in the end 20/50 was put bac...
