Re: Morrx

G'day Ten years ago today I finished at the NT Public Service, claiming my super two days later when I turned 55. Having done thirty + years it was to my advantage, Super wise, to leave before I turned 55. So I have been unemployed for ten years today. It took another 3 years before I bought what wa...

Re: Morrx

G'day The engine in Morrx is the fourth rotary I have had, all from/in the FC model RX7, two Six port injected and two turbo powered. The common link is that they were all pretty well stock standard and I had no trouble with them, they started and ran as they were meant to in the tropical heat and h...

Re: Morrx

G'day Six years ago, yesterday (28th Dec.), I started this project, that became "MORRX", by buying my second Minor ( the first was 40 odd years ago) on Ebay. This seems a reasonable time to reflect on the journey so far. This being the first time I had done anything like this, it could have been man...

40 Years since Tracy

G'day Forty years ago this night ( Christmas eve) cyclone Tracy hit Darwin, destroying 75% of the houses and damaging most of the rest. The surprising thing was that only about 70 people were killed. It hit at low tide so there was virtually no tidal surge, other wise it could have been very differe...

Re: The Photography Thread

G'day A couple of pictures I took of our house on the 1st or 2nd of January 1975. The surprising thing is that I sent the prints to Mum in Jan 75, to show them what was left of the house , and forty years later she could still find them and they look so good. They were taken with a little point and ...

G'day First Friday last Friday, a pleasant night high 20's with a light breeze , an almost clear sky and a high tide. G'day First Friday gathering tonight, when I arrived I could not resist parking next to the GT 40 and getting a picture. All three cars were in production at the same time (early mid 60's), quite a difference in style and price today. An original GT40 is worth millions, the Cortina 10,000 plus and t...

Re: Morrx

G'day

First drive of Morrx for a while yesterday, nothing special just around town in traffic, but enough to feel the fun and how easy it is to drive and really not want to stop when I got home.

Cheers
